How long have you been working at Gym Tonic?

I have been working at Gym Tonic for the past year and have loved working together with the team here. It has a bright, happy and fantastic environment when you come in every day. I have been working in the fitness industry for 7 years and have found that the people here are wonderful to work with.

 

What is the most rewarding thing for you about working in the fitness industry?

The most rewarding thing I have found working in the fitness industry is working side by side with my clients. Assisting them to achieve their health and fitness goals, planning their training regime, nutritional planning and tracking their success, has been the most rewarding experience when I see my clients have achieved improvements and further progress to achieving their desired results.

 

What is your favourite sport?

My favourite sport would be kick boxing. There is nothing more thrilling than the focus and energy needed to be able to kick, punch and evade at high intensity to keep your heart rate pumping. It’s a full body cardio workout which improves strength, speed and coordination for everyone.

 

How do you like to train yourself?

I like to train at a high intensity lifting heavy weights, to push myself to grow stronger every day. Lifting weights strengthens your body and your mind. It takes dedication and focus to push yourself to your own limits and beyond your boundaries. Keeping the intensity high, allows more muscle growth and to increase your metabolism.

 

What do you enjoy most about training?

What I enjoy the most about training is the satisfaction of accomplishing my regime while improving my strength and coordination. To be able to push beyond what you thought you would be capable of achieving is the most thrilling part of training. There is nothing more rewarding than lifting a weight that was beyond your personal best.

 

What is one of the most positive success stories of training your clients?

The most positive success story I have had is with one of the mums I was previously training. She was in her 40s and training with me 2 times per week. She had a weight loss goal to lose 10kgs. From intense training and sticking to her nutrition plan, she smashed her fitness target by dropping her 10kg of fat. She dramatically improved cardio endurance, improved strength and lean muscle mass. She has such a positive attitude to training and always pushed herself beyond her own limitations.
